Are you afraid to show up for yourself? Are you afraid to be the best version of yourself? Are you afraid that you may actually succeed? What happens when God allows you to have everything you prayed for?

I am afraid that to show up for myself and honestly I don’t know how to show up for myself. Crazy ain’t it…. We spend so much time being everything for everybody but neglect ourselves to the point that we don’t even know how to show up for ourselves.

Abandonment is a real thing. Yep, we forsake ourselves every time we do more for others than we do for ourselves. I am not talking about regular stuff that we do. I mean we pour until we are empty and because someone else is line waiting for us to pour into them we fail to get filled up. I am talking about giving all we have only to realize that we cannot go back to the ones that we once helped to get what we need.

What would happen if you decided that you were not pouring into anyone else until you learned how to pour into yourself? I imagine that the world would come to a dead stop and you would be labeled as insensitive and uncaring. I imagine they would say you are acting funny and that you have changed.

Guess what? I am changing and I am probably acting funny. I am pouring into myself first and I will not allow myself to be empty ever again!!!!!

And you know what? I do not owe anyone an explanation nor will I give one.
