Focus on Me

First let me say, I am not married. I have been divorced since 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004. I am being transparent, don't judge me. I get calls/emails daily about male/female relationships.

Once, a very prominent attorney asked what made me an expert (this was several years ago) on relationships. I am not an expert! But I do know God.......this is wisdom.

Before you focus on him, focus on you. He should not be your "life" but he should add value to your life. Do not be so anxious to get it (and I have been there) that you lose sight of other areas of your life. Do not accommodate him so much that you neglect your dreams, goals, and ambitions. Definitely do not be financially responsible for him (periodt) and cause yourself financial distress. I am not saying not to help but I am saying if he continues to make irresponsible decisions it is not up to you to bail him out. Take care of you.....Buy the car you want, the house you want, take the trip you want, buy the clothes you want, and the furniture you want lol.

Most importantly, establish a relationship with God. Now I had said that I was not going to make my blog all spiritual but I don't know anything else. I don't know anyone else but God who guided me here....

God has to be your first love.....Once He is the first person you love, everything else will fall into place.

Read a good book or several, including the Bible. Everyone is not designed to go to college but take short training courses (I take about five each month, email me for details).

Join online virtual classes, listen to broadcast online, or join a book club (Redeemed Inner Circle), or work on your physical/mental fitness (Killen the Flesh).

Simply saying, a man can not be your focus.

May you experience a growth spurt in this season. May you grow in grace and in excellence. I continually keep hearing the word poise, having a graceful and elegant bearing. May God rub out the rough patches....May He heal you of anything that is hindering your glow. May He comfort you in your season of focus. May He surround you with people who will encourage and motivate you....You are special, beautiful, and unique. You deserve the man God has designed just for you. And that man will work with you not against you; he will add to you and not take away from you.
