Intent

Sometimes our only intent is to show love so that we can receive love. And not love in some deep seated sense of passion deriving from sex and lust, but the kind of love that makes us feel safe and wanted. The kind of love that makes us feel protected when we are lying in the arms of the person we love. You know love that wakes you up in the middle of the night to pray over them; yes that kind!

Maybe sometimes we want it so badly that the very thought of not having it leads us down a path of self sabotage. Or maybe the person we want it with is not able to accept the love being offered to them because of their own brokenness and their dependence on being approved by others who have not direct bearing on their "situation".

It's time to look in the mirror and just let things be. If it's good, flow with it. If it's stressful ensure it's not you causing stress on yourself because you are so caught up in self. Love is patient just as letting things blossom requires patience.
