I will be the first to say that I am not good with friendships, However, I decided to be intentional about building healthy friendships.

2024 I began to pray asking God to send me likeminded friends who not only loved Jesus but friends who would celebrate me, support me, and show up for me during difficult times.

It’s funny how we avoid people or form an opinion about people we do not know because of how they look, dress, and or present themselves.

Who would have known that in the 2021 I would have met the most amazing women. And yes, I avoided them finding reasons not to engage nor participate in activities that would have caused me to even speak to them.

Now it’s 2025 and we have been put in a situation to serve on a team together and it has been the most amazing experience.

As you already know, I came up with excuses as to why I didn’t want to be on a team as I am a loner who self sabotages and I end relationships because I know they will come to an end.

I have decided not to self sabotage. I have decided to pray asking Holy Spirit to give me wisdom concerning this new relationship.

Friends are not perfect….. We can have so many expectations of people causing us to miss something that is God ordained.

I thank God for my friends. We have served together, prayed together, and discussed the Word of God all while being human.

Stop avoiding people because they are not like you. Open yourself up to others. Pray and seek God concerning your friendships.

Do not allow past trauma to keep you from receiving friends who will show up for you.

This relationship is healthy and when I feel myself getting frustrated and ready to end the relationship, they pull me back in.

This is good!!!!
